FSUIPC is not planned to work with the latest Flight Simulator 11. FSUIPC does not use game files or game settings. It uses game data files or game data settings under the control of the developer of the flight simulator application. The programs used by FSUIPC can be installed separately from an external hard drive on a computer network without affecting another computer on that network. The purpose of FSUIPC is to allow the flight simulator application to provide more data to the simulator driver program. This data can be used by specialized programs called "add-ons" or simply "addons".FSUIPC does not fix or correct errors in flight simulators, nor does it make changes. It provides access to the full data sets produced by the flight simulators for use by addon programs. It's possible to avoid using FSUIPC or any other interface device with a flight simulator, but it's highly unlikely that an average user will have either the knowledge or patience needed to completely avoid them. FSUIPC allows the addition of additional aircraft to a simulator. Generally, one aircraft can be added to an FSUIPC enabled flight simulator game. Add-ons for other types of aircraft are possible, but not straightforward and require more than just an existing game data file. There is not yet any FSUIPC port for Microsoft Flight Simulator X or Prepar3D.FSUIPC has many powerful functions that are very useful for people who want to create special effects, modify the airplane controls, monitor real time telephone conversations between pilots through the headset, telephone conversations between passengers in simulated airplanes or other information that can be incorporated into the game or into an addon program for that particular airplane type.
